2008 16th Annual Babe Zaharias Tournament, Beaumont, Texas, May 31-June 1, 2008. For more information, see SETS Tournament for details.

2008 Bay Fest Coed and Women's Tournament, Date TBA.

2008 Ocktoberfest - Women's and Coed Tournament, Houston, Texas, October 4, 2008.

2008 COED National Cup, Frisco, Texas, October 24-26, 2008. Some games will be played on Friday. Details to follow.

Soccer Zone South located at 9501 Manchaca Rd. is hosting a coed indoor soccer tournament.

If you are interested in participating and/or trying something new as a team or a player, contact Jen Greybeck at 251-716-5453 or jgreybeck@hotmail.com before May 14th.

The tournament also benefits a fellow soccer player that suffered a stoke last November and is now recovering from open-heart surgery.
Summer Soccer Registration & Mandatory Captains Meeting

Captains meeting will be held Thursday, May 15th at the Townlake YMCA. Meeting starts at 7:00pm. Food will be provided. Teams must have a representative present. Townlake YMCA is located at 1100 W. Cesar Chavez. Team fees for summer are $350. Fees are due at the meeting or you may pay in advance by PayPal. Please see "Team Registration" page for PayPal details.

Summer season will begin on Saturday, May 31st and end the first week in August.

Captains - To access your team's roster, log in to the captain's area. Once logged in, there is a link to the PDF version of the team roster for you to download and print.

REMEMBER: Captains must have a copy of their team roster at every game and each player must have a valid player ID card.

New field location so we have a few new issues. Apparently, not all the county employees are trained on updating the rainout message yet. Hopefully, it will be updated in the morning to acknowledge THE PARK IS OPEN. For this weekend only, please ignore the rainout telephone information and/or don't even bother calling it.

EMP is OPEN. Please enjoy the day of soccer at the new county park location.
STATE CUP WEEKEND IS HERE! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

STATE CUP WEEKEND IS HERE!


The ACSA is hosting the 2008 Coed State Cup this weekend, March 1-2, 2008 at Northeast Metro Park. We need volunteers to work this weekend and help the tournament be a success.

If you are interested in volunteering and watching some great soccer in the meantime, contact Sarah Zottarelli for more details at zottarelli@aol.com.

Volunteers are needed at the following times:

SATURDAY, MARCH 1
8:15am to 11:15am 1 volunteer needed
11:15am to 2:15pm - 1 volunteer needed
2:15pm to 5:15pm - 2 volunteers needed

SUNDAY, MARCH 2
8:15am to 11:15am - 2 volunteers needed.

Each volunteer will receive a $50 credit off the summer registration fee for the team of their choice.

REFEREE CLINIC INFORMATION

Want to increase the ACSA referee pool with some real talent?

The AMSA will host a two-day Grade 8 referee clinic on Saturday, Jan. 26 and Sunday Jan. 27.

The Clinic will be at the St. Francis school on E. Huntland Dr. and consist of two eight hour sessions (consecutive) starting at 9am and concluding at 6pm.

The entry fee (the clinic fee and FIFA license fee) is $55.00. The AMSA and the ACSA offer fee reimburse for referees that agree to officiate AMSA and/or ACSA games.

You can register online at Register to Referee. Go to the link titled "Click here to see a list of the available clinics." Find the AMSA-sponsored clinics, and click "Register" to register for the other clinic.

COUNTY OPENS EAST METRO PARK

Travis County Park Department has a new park named East Metro Park. That's not a typo on the schedule. The park acronym is really EMP. We will add directions to the new park on the web site soon. Our first game at EMP is not until March. In the meantime, here is a link to the new park: EMP.

The spring season will begin Feb. 2, 2008.

Hope you are all excited about the season starting. We've had a long break so I'm sure everyone is ready to play. Please remember to be sportsmanlike and treat others they way you want to be treated.

Please remember your division commissioners are here for you. If you have a question, comment or problem within your division, please contact your commissioner. You may find the name and contact information for your division commissioner under "ACSA General Information." You will also find my contact information along with contact information for Frank Allcorn, League Registrar and Scheduler, and Paula K, Referee Coordinator. We are all here to help as needed.

Please check back for the schedule posting. Team registration is due January 9, 2008. Fees are $400. We will start the schedules immediately after registration is due, so NO LATE REGISTRATIONS PLEASE. Please submit your team fees by mail to the ACSA PO Box 202202, Dallas, Texas 75320-2202 or by PAYPAL. See "Team Registration" for details.

The Spring Season will start February 2, 2008 and run through the beginning of May.

2007 FALL SEASON

Our 2007 Fall Season will begin Saturday, September 8th. The season will end December 1, 2007.

Schedules are posted, except for Division 3. We will post Division 3 soon.

Rosters are available at Team Rosters.

REMEMBER: You must have valid player ID cards and your roster at every game.

The County has closed the fields for tomorrow. Since the fields are so saturated, the County has not been able to mow or line the fields. We basically needed more sunshine than what was provided today for them to be able to prepare the fields for play.

The County Rainout Number was not updated at the time of this post, but it should be soon.

ACSA SUMMER SEASON AND SCHEDULES

The ACSA Summer Season starts June 2, 2007. The schedules will be added to our site soon. In the meantime, please follow the links below to your schedule. Our first set of games are at Onion Creek Soccer Complex ("OCSC"). Please remember the rainout number for OCSC is 404-2332, option 2.

Hopefully everyone is looking forward to a fun summer. Please remember to be safe and hydrate.

Soccer Equipment Donation Drive - April 28, 2007

Donation drive for soccer equipment is rescheduled for April 28, 2007.

Items collected:
• playable soccer equipment in all sizes (youth and adult): shoes, shorts, socks, shin guards, jerseys, balls, cones, etc…

The VIRGO Tent will be set up at OCSC near the front of the complex. The Donation drive will begin at 10:00am.
